Calla's Halloween Costume

Calla's halloween costume, pictured below, arrived today. Wow, Halloween is getting close and Calla's EDD is even closer! Isn't it cute?

I do want to take a moment to thank everyone for coming to celebrate with us. Bill and I appreciate all the well wishes and the gifts. We had a great time. Thanks especially to Cheryl for hosting the shower and making it so special for us while in the midst of moving to a new house!

Post Shower Crash!

The shower is over, everything went better than we could ever imagine. I am sitting in a chair trying to fight the post shower cake sugar crash. ZZZzzzzz... We couldn't be happier with how everything turned out and seeing all of our friends who showed up. We really appreciate everything Cheryl has done for us, even though she was in the middle of a move! Thank you everyone, we feel loved. When I get more energy I will go grab the camera and upload some pictures (taken by my Nephew Josh).

Calla's Room - So Far

We've made a lot of progress on Calla's room, so I thought I'd share a few snapshots I took earlier tonight. It looks better in person, really, I think the flash distorts the colors.

In My Mailbox: Even MORE Goodies for Calla

Today when I came home from work there was a box on the front porch addressed to Miss Calla Sophia Hazelton. Now that was pretty neat!

Inside was a beautiful baby blanket for Calla made by my Aunt Cathy. It's really gorgeous, and it has stripes! As you can see in the photo below, the colors are a perfect match for the green and yellow stripes on the wall. She wrote that she had washed the blanket with Baby All, and it smelled heavenly when I pulled it out of the box.


By the way, I heard a rumor that the matching infant car seat for the stroller from yesterday arrived today at Grammy and Popples! This blog is quickly becoming a log of goodies for Calla! Remember when the blog was a log of my how often and how much I vomited? The third trimester has some distinct advantages over the first, I must say!

In My Mailbox: Even MORE Goodies for Calla

After a very long and frustrating day at work, I came home to find even more goodies for Calla waiting for us on the front porch. It really lifted my spirits and reminded me that my little cutie will be here so soon!

From my sweet cousin Dallas, a really cute Frog Pod. It is a neat system for storing bath toys. I thought it was adorable, so I put it on my registry. Turns out Dallas has one for her boys and they love it.



From Grammy and Popples, a stroller! Bill has already assembled it. I took it for a test drive after yoga this evening and chased Puyi (that's one of my cats, you know) around a bit. I love this stroller. It's a Peg Perego Pliko P3 - funny name, nice stroller.


This kid is going to be so spoiled.

Calla Sophia 3D/4D Pictures

Chubby cheeks and Pouty Lips! Who would have thought? :) The ultrasound went perfect, Calla decided to show her face (even though her feet were near her face). Can't wait to meet the little booger, but it was great to get a sneak peek! To see more pictures click here.

30 Weeks, 2 Days - 140% Belly

Life is so very busy lately, we actually forgot to take the belly pic (instead of just being lazy about it)! Here's a pic of me at 30 weeks, 2 days pregnant (taken after coming home from our second childbirth class).

In My Mailbox: Bead Swap Beads

I participated in a bead swap with the ladies of the MDC October 2008 Due Date Club (it's an online forum for women due in October), and I got my beads earlier this week, but I've been SOOO busy that I haven't had a chance to examine them until today. So I have a different bead from about thirty-four different women, along with little notes of encouragement and inspiration regarding pregnancy and childbirth. Very sweet!

If you want to see LOTS of pics of the beads, I took several so I would be able to remember who sent which beads. The beads are really lovely, so check out a few of the close ups!
