POTD: Feeling Better!
Just started probiotics today for the suspected AAD (antibiotic-associated diarrhea) and vomiting, and she's already feeling up to dress up and fairy flights through the house with Dad. :)
P.S. At doctor's office today, we learned she has grown 1/2 inch since she was there a few weeks ago for a bad cough. She's 37" tall now! Sadly, she lost some weight with the tummy-ache, but her appetite is good this evening.
P.P.S. Happy birthday, Aunt Susie!

Calla drew eyes and faces on these little guys.
She said they needed eyes, so I did the black eyes with pen on the far left. She said, "No, Mama, I draw them with my crayons!"
Off she went to do it while I was messing around with iTunes. Then she showed them to me. I was really surprised and impressed with the pink eyes on the far right figure.

Birthday Party II
Yesterday, we had the second of two parties celebrating Calla's birthday.
The kids in attendance were her beloved cousins, Josh, Lauren, and Sara; her buddy from school, Silas; her BFF, Rosie; her favorite neighbor, Baby Julie; and family friends Gibson, Elijah and Annika.
The menu was identical to Birthday Party I, of course, including delicious cupcakes from Muddy's.
Gifts received:
From Mom and Dad, a porcelain tea set, a new Beatles shirt, and fairy books. Also she got a rocking chair, magformers, ABC cards, beautiful clothes, a pillow pet, play food, a little laptop, finger crayons, and cookie cutters. Quite the haul!
She is not getting three parties for her third birthday, by the way. ;)

The Fairy Witch!
Making mashed cauliflower (a favorite veggie dish).
Playing at Overton Park. I kinda fell in love with her dad at that very spot, many years ago.
Funny costume she threw together when we were decorating outside for Halloween.
At India Palace. Such a little lady.

Birthday Party I
Yesterday, we had the first of two birthday parties celebrating Calla's second birthday. Calla woke from her nap singing "Happy Birthday" and said "It's gon' be FUN!!!" She decided to wear a very special outfit for the occasion: pink stripey leggings, her beautiful red cheongsam, and purple shoes, of course. She looked stunning!
Calla had so much fun playing dress up, making music, dancing, and playing outside with her friends: Elise, Baby Max, Zoe, Edwin, Owen, Connor, Miles, and Baby Murray. She was happy to see all her grown up friends, too.
We ate cupcakes from Muddy's after snacking on hummus, Bill's guacamole, Gram's artichoke dip, and lots of yummy fruit. I'll post all the other photos of Calla eating her birthday cupcake soon!
Gifts? Calla got some wonderful presents: a table with two chairs, fairy coloring books and sticker books, an ice cream play set, an adorable little cup, and a Yellow Submarine lunch box. Lots of artsy crafty toys were received, such as a spin art kit, a button art kit, and a Hello Kitty activity set. She got some beautiful things to wear: a custom dyed (by BBVM) pair of trainers and a lovely scarf. Also, there were fun playthings: a great Melissa & Doug clock and a fishing game. I hope I remembered everything!
She had so much fun that, afterwards, it was very hard to get her to sleep so she will be well-rested for Birthday Party II later today!
PS Some time next week, I'll post all the photos and videos. Until then, these snapshots from my phone will have to do.
